The meetings of heads of state and government at the European institutions have some measures as consequence : set up of a security perimeter, closure of Schuman place, diversion of road traffic…

Metro
Metro lines 1 and 5 are operated normally. Metro station Schuman is open. The accesses to rue Froissartstraat, rue Archimède / Archimedesstraat and rond-point Schumanplein are closed.
Bus
Bus lines 12, 21, 36, 56, 60 and 79 are diverted via metro station Maelbeek. Bus stops Schuman are not served.

Ths substitution stops are indentified with zones (A, B, C…). The zones are mentioned on the maps at the stops and on the signs at the substitution stops. |
Extraordinary measures
Sometimes, at the request of the police, additional measures can be set up :
- Metro station Schuman closed
Metro station Schuman is closed. The metros ride through the station and do not let embark or disembark travelers. The European district is accessible from the stations Maelbeek or Merode.
- Railway station Bruxelles-Schuman / Brussel-Schuman closed
The railway station is closed. The trains ride through the station and do not let embark or disembark travelers. The European district is accessible from the station Bruxelles-Luxembourg / Brussel-Luxembourg that is served by the same trains. Connection to the metro (Maelbeek for lines 1 and 5 – Trône / Troon for lines 2 and 6) is easy from station Bruxelles-Luxembourg / Brussel-Luxemburg.
