Validate if I want to go the airport?
First, load an Airport Line ticket on your MOBIB card.
- Press the "Airport Line" button;
- Hold your MOBIB card in front of the validator as long as the screen shows "card please";
- Your card is validated when you hear a bip, when a “v” appears on the screen of the validator and when the green light lights up.
I have a card "Patriotic reasons"?
Since the 18th July 2016, the SNCB does not deliver "Patriotic Grounds" cards anymore.
Follow these steps to obtain your transport ticket:
- Download and complete the certificate "Request for a Patriotic Grounds contract".
Section II must be completed by the competent authority and be signed and stamped and it must indicate the date of signature.
Section I must be completed with all the required data by the beneficiary or the competent authority. The beneficiary must sign in the area provided under section I.
- Next, go to a BOOTIK.
If you do not yet have a MOBIB card, the STIB BOOTIK will deliver you a MOBIB card once you have paid the manufacturing fees. In this case, an identity photo will be required.
Go with the completed form and your MOBIB card (delivered by STIB) to any STIB BOOTIK. STIB will remotely load the appropriate contract within 5 working days. The next time you validate your MOBIB card on a validator in a metro station or at a GO vending machine the new contract will automatically be loaded on the MOBIB card without any other intervention being necessary.
The rest of the procedure remains identical.
If the requester can travel with a carer, a copy of the "Free carer" card delivered by the SNCB must be joined to the aforementioned documents. In this case, the "Carer" contract will also be loaded on the MOBIB card.
