Life is slowly picking up
The health crisis has turned our daily life upside down for many months, but we will soon have this all behind us. Restaurants and cafés are reopening, sports and cultural activities are taking place again, people are coming together... all this hustle and bustle cheers up our metro stations and makes our surface network smile. Brussels is waking up and we finally see light at the end of the tunnel. STIB-MIVB and its staff have always been there to support the travellers throughout their adventures. More than ever, they can count on the metro, tram and bus services to bring them anywhere they like.
Lightening up the travellers’ journey
As a symbol of the regained liveliness, STIB-MIVB has set up a special show to illuminate its travellers’ journeys.
A 200-metre-long light installation has taken place in the tunnel between the metro stations Arts-Loi/Kunst-Wet and Parc/Park. During the Euro 2020 period and until 21 July, the show has been displaying black-yellow-red lights to honour our beloved Belgium. From 22 July to 30 September, our customers will be enjoying waves of warm colours evoking a sunrise. The lights are activated each time a carriage passes, and the animation is calculated to follow the movement of the metro train.
