Rules for recording images
Autorisation for filming and shooting
Each shot, photo or video, on the STIB-MIVB network (vehicles, stations, stops) must be accredited by the STIB-MIVB Public Relations department.
There are 2 exceptions:
- Press requests (news, interviews, etc.) which are accredited directly by the press department
- Tourist shots without a scenario or staging taken with a smartphone
All requests for recordings must be sent to our public relations department.
Deadline to submit your application
- For small recordings: 10 working days
- For larger shootings (film, advertising, magazines, etc.): 1 to 3 months, depending on the complexity of the request.
Which information should I provide?
- Reason(s) for recording + detailed description of the project
- Complete scenario of the scenes recorded in the STIB infrastructure
- Desired date and timing (permission is never granted for recordings during the morning or evening rush hour)
- Desired location for the recordings (vehicle type, line, route, stop, station)
- Name and contact details of company/school/organization responsible for the recording
- List of attendees
- List of materials used
- Place and date of broadcast/distribution of images
Privatisation
It is possible to privatise the property of the STIB-MIVB to shoot a film or a publicity. These types of requests are treated case by case and the organisation of the shooting will be organised in such a way that it won't disturb the commercial operation of the STIB-MIVB network.
Shootings that require the privatisation of metro trains or stations will be exclusively organised at night.
Costs
Depending on the demand, costs may be expected (guidance, privatization, etc.). In that case, STIB will draw up a cost estimate and submit it to the recording team for approval.
Rules and regulations
The STIB-MIVB reserves the right to refuse a request if it harms the image or values of the company, jeopardizes the safety or comfort of travelers, or the commercial operation of the transport network. The STIB-MIVB does not have to justify its decision to the applicant.
