Although STIB-MIVB's main mission is to guarantee its role as a transport company, it is also aware of its social responsibility. Within this framework, it is committed to solidarity and responsible mobility in the Brussels Capital Region.

What do we do?

STIB-MIVB is confronted daily with the presence of homeless and/or vulnerable people on its network. To help these people, together with competent social actors, we have set up some projects.

Specifically, we work with the non-profit organisations Diogènes, Straatverplegers, Dokters van de Wereld, Bij Ons-Chez Nous, Dune, Transit, Samusocial, etc.

STIB-MIVB has also supported the non-profit organisation Operation Thermos since its inception. In October 2013, the society entered into a partnership to beg meals to needy people. This takes place every year at Botaniquue-Kruidtuin metro station from November 1 to April 30.
