Avenue Louise/Louizalaan: refurbishment of tram stops
Bruxelles Mobilité/Brussel Mobiliteit applies for a permit
Published on
The project aims to make the tram stops safe and accessible to the persons with reduced mobility, and more comfortable for everyone.
The tram tracks are renewed to ensure more acoustic comfort and reduce vibrations.
Refurbishment of stops
The permit covers the modernisation of tram tracks, the improvement of the stops and safer accesses for pedestrians.
Some stops are being relocated to improve the frequency of tram services, including the merger of the Defacqz and Bailli/Baljuw stops, which will provide more space and improve safety on the platforms. Traffic conditions remain unchanged.
The aim is to make the area and the tram stops clearer, safer and more accessible, while preserving the avenue’s tree-lined landscape.
