Avenue des Croix du Feu/Vuurkruisenlaan: replacement of tram tracks
Works in August 2026
Published on
Between 8 and 30 August, we renew tram tracks on avenue des Croix du Feu/Vuurkruisenlaan, between the Heembeek and Buissonnets/Braambosjes stops.
This project will enable the replacement of worn-out infrastructure and help maintain the quality of service on this busy portion of the network.
Renewed tracks
Tram tracks between Heembeek and Buissonnets/Braambosjes are being replaced to ensure the long-term quality of the network.
After many years of service, this project ensures we can maintain safe, comfortable and reliable journeys while ensuring the sustainability of this essential infrastructure.
The project also includes improvements at the Buissonnets/Braambosjes stop to make it more accessible.
A limited construction site
The works are organised in such a way as to minimise their impact on traffic as much as possible.
Traffic is maintained and pedestrian and bike lanes remain accessible.
Ad hoc adjustments may be made as the works progress in order to ensure everyone’s safety and maintain mobility in the neighbourhood.
Public transport
From 27 July to 30 August, different works impact tram lines 7, 10 and 35 as well as bus 47.
