New tram exit via chaussée de Haecht/Haachtsesteenweg in Haren

Works resume at the end of January 2026

STIB-MIVB continues to invest in reliable and future-proof public transport. That's why the Haren depot is getting an additional tram exit. This way trams can leave the depot more easily and transport services remain guaranteed. The surrounding public space is also being redeveloped.

Where and when will the works take place in Haren?

From the end of January until May 2026 we're installing new tram tracks in rue du Planeur/Zweefvliegtuigstraat and rue de l’Aéronef/Luchtschipstraat, and we connect the tram tracks to boulevard Léopold III/Leopold III-laan. On chaussée de Haecht/Haachtsesteenweg the cycle lane next to the tram tracks is being renewed.
