Scope of the project

The renovation on rue E. Stuckens/E. Stuckensstraat and rue H. Van Hamme/H. Van Hammestraat (including the intersections with rue du Tilleul/Lindestraat and rue Frans Pepermans/Frans Pepermansstraat) consists of renovating the drainage system and replacing the tram tracks.

Phasing of the works

The works will be carried out step by step to limit their impact on the neighbourhood as much as possible.

  • In rue Édouard Stuckens/Edward Stuckensstraat, Vivaqua will work until the end of April 2026. The street will then reopen to traffic. From 3 August to 26 October 2026, STIB-MIVB will replace the tram tracks in successive sections of around 40 metres, from rue du Tilleul/Lindestraat towards rue François Pepermans/François Pepermansstraat. These 2 crossroads are not included in the works.
  • In rue Henri Van Hamme/Henri Van Hammestraat, Vivaqua will work from 3 May until the end of October 2026, in successive sections of around 40 metres, from rue Van Assche/Van Asschestraat to rue Frans Verdonck/Frans Verdonckstraat. Vivaqua will inform the affected residents in more detail later.

  • Pedestrian access remains possible at all times.
  • The road will be closed to all traffic section by section, including for residents. Parking spaces outside the active work sections will be partly used for worksite storage.
  • For specific access needs in the closed area, such as moving or deliveries, please contact us.

Public transport

During the entire duration of the project, tram 55 will be suspended between the stops “Tilleul / Linde” and “Da Vinci”. Bus lines 59 and 69 will be diverted and reinforced to ensure connections with Da Vinci.
