Van Praet-Lambermont: replacement of tram tracks
Works in August 2026
Published on
This summer, STIB-MIVB is taking advantage of the holidays to replace worn out tracks in the bend located between chaussée de Vilvorde/Vilvoordsesteenweg and boulevard Lambermont/Lambermontlaan, by the Van Praet bridge. These works, which involve no changes other than the replacement of the tracks, are necessary to ensure the safety and the reliability of the network.
A limited construction site
During the works, chaussée de Vilvorde/Vilvoordsesteenweg, along the canal between avenue de la Reine/Konninginnelaan and the Van Praet bridge, will be a dead end. It will therefore no longer be possible to access it from boulevard Lambermont/Lambermontlaan or from the east. A diversion will be set up and all the houses, shops and offices will remain accessible.
The detailed plans below cover the traffic adjustments planned during the works.
