Renewal of the tracks in avenue Louise/Louizalaan : interruption of trams 8 and 93

The tracks on avenue Louise/Louizalaan between Bailli/Baljuw and Legrand are being renewed. Due to these works, tram lines 8 and 93 are interrupted from 1 June to 28 August.

Concerned lines

Trams 8 and 93

Trams 8 and 93 are interrupted between Bailli/Baljuw and Legrand. Tram 8 runs between Louise/Louiza and Bailli/Baljuw and between Legrand and Roodebeek. Tram 93 runs between Stade/Stadion and Bailli/Baljuw.  

To minimize disruption for our travellers, bus line 96 is extended from Janson to Legrand via Bailli/Baljuw and avenue Louise/Louizalaan. 

As of Monday 29 June, temporary bus 96 direction Legrand follows a new itinerary between the Janson and Bailli/Baljuw stops, via Trinité/Drievuldigheid.

The following stops are modified:

  • Janson: buses only serve the stop in chaussée de Charleroi/Charleroisesteenweg, next to house number 178
  • Defacqz: stop removed . Passengers are invited to take the bus at Bailli/Baljuw (bus 54 stop to Trône/Troon, rue du Bailli/Baljuwstraat 2b)
  • Bailli/Baljuw: stop moved to the bus 54 stop to Trône/Troon, rue du Bailli/Baljuwstraat 2b

Buses direction Gare du Midi/Zuidstation still run via rue Defacqz/Defacqzstraat.

The temporary bus 96 serves the following stops on its route:  

Direction Legrand/Roodebeek: 

  • Janson: chaussée de Charleroi/Charleroisesteenweg 178, at the usual stop 
  • Defacqz: avenue Louise/Louizalaan 151 (until 28 June)
  • Bailli/Baljuw: avenue Louise/Louizalaan 195, by the tram stop (until 28 June) 
  • Vleurgat: avenue Louise/Louizalaan 305, by the tram stop  
  • Abbaye/Abdij: avenue Louise/Louizalaan 421, by the tram stop 
  • Legrand: avenue Louise/Louizalaan 505, by the tram stop 

Direction Bailli/Baljuw (Louise/Louiza-Stade/Stadion): 

  • Legrand: avenue Louise/Louizalaan 510 
  • Abbaye/Abdij: avenue Louise/Louizalaan 400-404, by the tram stop 
  • Vleurgat: avenue Louise/Louizalaan, before the intersection with chaussée de Vleurgat/Vleurgatsesteenweg 
  • Bailli/Baljuw: avenue Louise/Louizalaan 184, at the temporary bus 54 stop direction Forest (Bervoets)/Vorst (Bervoets) 
  • Defacqz: avenue Louise/Louizalaan 158, at the temporary bus 54 stop direction Forest (Bervoets)/Vorst (Bervoets) 
  • Janson: rue Defacqz/Defacqzstraat 131, at the temporary bus 54 stop direction Forest (Bervoets)/Vorst (Bervoets) 
  • Trinité/Drievuldigheid: rue de l’Aqueduc/Aquaductstraat 53, at the usual stop
