Works around the Barrière/Bareel stop: buses 50, 96, and N12 diverted

Due to works on avenue du Parc/Parklaan and at Barrière de Saint-Gilles/Bareel van Sint-Gillis:
- buses 50 and N12 to Gare Centrale/Centraal Station are diverted between Rochefort and Barrière/Bareel via Albert, until end of 2026
- temporary bus 96 is diverted between Gare du Midi/Zuidstation and Barrière/Bareel via Porte de Hal/Hallepoort, until end of August 2026
Works
The refurbishment works at Barrière de Saint-Gilles/Bareel van Sint-Gillis and on avenue du Parc/Parklaan are still ongoing. More info on these works by clicking on this link.
As from Monday 29 June, avenue du Parc/Parklaan becomes a one-way street and the intersection between Barrière de Saint-Gilles/Bareel van Sint-Gillis and rue Théodore Verhaegen/Théodore Verhaegenstraat is closed.
This new configuration has consequences for bus lines 50, N12 and the temporary bus line 96.
Bus 50, N12
Buses to Gare Centrale/Centraal Station are diverted between the Rochefort and Barrière/Bareel stops via Albert.
Buses to Lot Station and Stalle (P) run via avenue du Parc/Parklaan.
The Barrière/Bareel stop is moved to chaussée de Waterloo/Waterloosesteenweg nr. 208. The Combaz stop is not operated.
The diverted buses serve the following stops:
- Laîné: at the bus 48 stop to Decroly, avenue Reine Marie-Henriette/Koningin Maria-Hendrikalaan 47
- Mont Kemmel/Kemmelberg: at the bus 48 stop to Decroly, avenue Reine Marie-Henriette/Koningin Maria-Hendrikalaan 123
- Albert: at the bus 48 stop to Decroly, avenue Besme/Besmelaan 131
- Lombardie/Lombardije: place Maurice Van Meenen/Maurice Van Meenenplein 33
- Barrière/Bareel: at the temporary bus 96 stop to Gare du Midi/Zuidstation, chaussée de Waterloo/Waterloosesteenweg 208
Temporary bus line 96
Buses are diverted between Gare du Midi/Zuidstation and Barrière/Bareel via Porte de Hal/Hallepoort.
The Suède/Zweden and Avenue du Roi/Koningslaan stops remain served by trams 4 and 82 and by buses 37, 48, and 49. The Bethléem/Bethlehem and Guillaume Tell/Willem Tell stops are not served.
The diverted buses serve the following stops:
Direction Legrand
- Porte de Hal/Hallepoort: bus 50 stop to Lot Station, avenue de la Porte de Hal/Hallepoortlaan
- Parvis de Saint-Gilles/Sint-Gillisvoorplein: bus 50 stop to Lot Station, avenue Jean Volders/Jean Volderslaan
- Barrière/Bareel: chaussée de Waterloo/Waterloosesteenweg 159
Direction Gare du Midi/Zuidstation:
- Parvis de Saint-Gilles/Sint-Gillisvoorplein: at the bus 50 stop to Gare Centrale/Centraal Station, chaussée de Waterloo/Waterloosesteenweg 72
- Porte de Hal/Hallepoort: at the bus 50 stop to Gare Centrale/Centraal Station, avenue de la Porte de Hal/Hallepoortlaan 5
- Porte de Hal/Hallepoort: at the De Lijn and LETEC Blaes-Porte de Hal/Hallepoort bus stop, boulevard du Midi/Zuidlaan 142
- Gare du Midi/Zuidstation: at the bus 48 stop to Decroly, rue de Russie/Ruslandstraat 6
