Works at Beekkant and Gare Centrale/Centraal Station: interruption of metros 1, 2, 5, and 6

STIB-MIVB is replacing 2 switches at Beekkant station, causing the interruption of the 4 metro lines. This metro interruption gives us the opportunity to speed up the renovation works in Gare Centrale/Centraal Station. During the extended Easter weekend:
- metro 1 and 5 are interrupted between Gare de l’Ouest/Weststation and Arts-Loi/Kunst-Wet
- metro 2 is interrupted between Simonis and Gare de l’Ouest/Weststation
- metro 6 is interrupted between Osseghem/Ossegem and Gare de l’Ouest/Weststation
It is not possible to replace 4 metro lines by M-buses. To travel between Gare de l'Ouest/Weststation and Arts-Loi/Kunst-Wet or to reach the city centre, take:
- metros 2 and 6 between Gare de l'Ouest/Weststation and Elisabeth
- trams 4 and 10 between Rogier and Gare du Midi/Zuidstation
Buses 21, 36, 56, 63, 65, 66, 79, 87 and 89 are exceptionally extended during these 3 days to prevent multiple transfers.
The Beekkant station is not served during the entire weekend, not by our metros, nor by bus 87 (diverted via Gare de l'Ouest/Weststation). To reach the station (or the neigbourhood), we advise you to walk from Gare de l'Ouest/Weststation or Osseghem/Ossegem.

Buses 36, 56 and 79 are extended from Maelbeek/Maalbeek to Gare Centrale/Centraal Station. Bus 21 is extended from Luxembourg/Luxemburg to Gare Centrale/Centraal Station via the same route.

Bus 87
