The moment sports fans have been waiting for all year has finally arrived. During the 20 km race through Brussels, you can prove that your running training over the past year has paid off and try to complete the course in record time. This year's event takes place on Sunday 31 May. Both the start and finish lines are located in parc du Cinquantenaire/Jubelpark.
To make sure the track is free of traffic and the runners remain safe, several tram and bus lines are diverted or suspended. All details can be found below.
Easily reach parc du Cinquantenaire/Jubelpark!
To participate in the race or to cheer on your favourite runners, use one of the following lines:
- Metro 1 or 5 until Merode or Schuman
- Tram 7 or 25 until Montgomery
- Tram 81 until Merode in avenue des Celtes/Keltenlaan
No room for a wallet in your running gear? No problem! Simply use your bank card, smartphone, or smartwatch to validate your journey and easily head to the 20 km race.
Metro station Merode
Access to the station is modified until 6.00 pm:
To enter the station:
- before 11.00 am, use entrance 2 or 3 (in rue des Tongres/Tongerenstraat or on avenue des Celtes/Keltenlaan)
- after 11.00 am, use entrance 7 or 8 (by the SNCB-NMBS station - on avenue de Tervueren/Tervurenlaan)
To exit the station:
- before 11.00 am, use entrance 7 or 8 (by the SNCB-NMBS station - on avenue de Tervueren/Tervurenlaan)
- after 11.00 am, use entrance 3 (on avenue des Celtes/Keltenlaan)
You can cross avenue de Tervueren/Tervurenlaan below ground via entrances 7 and 8.
Need to use the lift? Don't worry, the lift remains accessible for people with reduced mobility. Please note that, as it is not possible to cross avenue de Tervueren/Tervurenlaan above ground, the station isn't fully accessible until 6.00 pm. We advise you to take the metro in Montgomery or Schuman station until the race is finished.
All entrances reopen after 6.00 pm.

Tram 7
Tram 7 is interrupted until 3.00 pm between the Buyl and Vanderkindere stops. After Buyl, the trams continue on line 25 to Boondael Gare/Boondaal Station.
A T-bus runs between ULB and Vanderkindere via Buyl, square Eugène Flagey/Eugène Flageyplein, chaussée de Vleurgat/Vleurgatsesteenweg, and avenue Winston Churchill/Winston Churchilllaan.

Trams 8 and 25
Tram 8 is interrupted until 3.00 pm between Louise/Louiza and Buyl. Alternatively, you can take tram 93 between Louise/Louiza and Legrand. Additional trams will run on this section to facilitate travel.
To reach Buyl from avenue Louise/Louizalaan, take T-bus 7 at Vleurgat.
Tram 8 is interrupted until 5.00 pm between Wiener and Musée du Tram/Trammuseum stops. Before 3.00 pm, trams coming from Wiener continue on the route of line 25 direction Rogier after the stop Buyl.
Tram 81
Tram 81 is interrupted until 7.00 pm between Merode (moved to avenue des Celtes/Keltenlaan) and Montgomery. Take metro 1 between Montgomery and Merode.
Trams 92 and 93
Trams 92 and 93 are interrupted until 3.00 pm between Botanique/Kruidtuin and Louise/Louiza. Take metro 2 or 6 between these stops.
Diverted and interrupted bus lines
Bus 12
Bus 12 is limited to Maelbeek/Maalbeek until 2.00 pm. To go to Trône/Troon, take metro 1 or 5 until Arts-Loi/Kunst-Wet and continue via metro 2 or 6.
Bus 17
Bus 17 is interrupted until 4.30 pm between the Les Trois Tilleuls/Drie Linden and Heiligenborre stops.
Bus 21
Bus 21 is interrupted until 2.00 pm between the Maelbeek/Maalbeek and Luxembourg/Luxemburg stops.
Bus 34
Bus 34 is interrupted until 5.00 pm between the Église Saint-Julien/Sint-Juliaanskerk and Sainte-Anne/Sint-Anna stops. After the Église Saint-Julien/Sint-Juliaanskerk stop, buses are diverted to Herrmann-Debroux via the bus 72 route along boulevard des Invalides/Invalidenlaan.
- The Herrmann-Debroux stop is located on avenue Herrmann-Debroux/Herrmann-Debrouxlaan, right before the intersection with boulevard du Souverain/Vorstlaan.
Bus 36
Bus 36 is interrupted until 2.00 pm between the Louis Hap and Maelbeek/Maalbeek stops.
Direction Konkel, the Louis Hap stop is located on avenue d’Auderghem/Oudergemselaan 288.
Bus 36 is interrupted until 5.00 pm between the Chant d’Oiseau/Vogelzang and Musée du Tram/Trammuseum stops.
- The Musée du Tram/Trammuseum stop direction Konkel is moved to the N06 bus stop (right after the tram 39 and 44 stop direction Montgomery).
- Mertens and Kelle direction Konkel are not served.
- The Mareyde stop direction Konkel is moved to rue au Bois/Bosstraat 199.
After Konkel, bus 36 continues on the bus 28 route to Brabançonne.
Bus 38
Bus 38 is interrupted until 2.00 pm between Trône/Troon and Gare Centrale/Centraal Station. After Trône/Troon, the buses are diverted to Porte de Namur/Naamsepoort.
Bus 41
Until 5.00 pm, bus 41 only runs between the Brésil/Brazilië and Herrmann-Debroux stops. After Brésil/Brazilië, the bus continues to the bus 72 ULB stop on avenue de l’Université/Hogeschoollaan.
- The Herrmann-Debroux stop is moved to avenue Herrmann-Debroux/Herrmann-Debrouxlaan, right after the intersection with boulevard du Souverain/Vorstlaan.
From 5.00 pm to 8.00 pm bus 41 only runs between the Brésil/Brazilië and Transvaal stops. The bus is diverted up to the ULB stop.
Bus 54
Bus 54 is diverted until 2.00 pm from Trône/Troon to Luxembourg/Luxemburg. The Trône/Troon bus stops are moved to rue du Luxembourg/Luxemburgstraat.
Bus 59
Until 2.00 pm bus 59 is interrupted between the Maelbeek/Maalbeek and Jourdan- Étangs/Vijvers stops.
The Jourdan stop direction Hôpital Etterbeek-Ixelles/Ziekenhuis Etterbeek-Elsene is moved to the bus 34 Étangs/Vijvers stop direction Porte de Namur/Naamsepoort.
Bus 60
Until 2.00 pm bus 60 is interrupted between the Ambiorix and Jourdan - Étangs/Vijvers stops.
- The Jourdan stop direction Uccle Calevoet/Ukkel Kalevoet is moved to the bus 34 Étangs/Vijvers stop direction Porte de Namur/Naamsepoort.
Bus 61
Bus 61 is diverted until 7.00 pm between the de Jamblinne de Meux and Georges Henri stops via the bus 28 stops Victor Hugo, Diamant and Vergote.
- The de Jamblinne de Meux and Georges Henri stops are moved in both directions to the bus 28 stops.
Bus 64
Bus 64 is interrupted until 2.00 pm between Maelbeek/Maalbeek and Porte de Namur/Naamsepoort stops.
Bus 71
Bus 71 is interrupted until 2.00 pm between the Porte de Namur/Naamsepoort and De Brouckère stops.
Bus 72
Bus 72 doesn't run until 5.00 pm. The Herrmann-Debroux section is served by diverted bus 34.
Bus 80
Bus 80 is interrupted until 7.00 pm between the Meudon and Porte de Namur/Naamsepoort stops.
After Meudon, the buses are diverted to the Gribaumont/Gribaumont and Tomberg metro stations.
- The Tomberg stop direction Haren is located at place du Tomberg/Tombergplein, across from no. 127.
- The Gribaumont stop direction Haren is located on avenue de Broqueville/de Broquevillelaan, before the intersection with avenue du Roi Chevalier/Ridder Koninglaan.
- The Meudon stop direction Haren is moved to avenue du Roi Chevalier/Ridder Koninglaan 56.
Bus 95
Bus 95 is interrupted until 2.00 pm between Trône/Troon and Grand-Place/Grote Markt. After Trône/Troon, the buses are diverted to Porte de Namur/Naamsepoort.
Bus 95 is interrupted until 4.30 pm between the Les Trois Tilleuls/Drie Linden and Wiener stops.
