Redevelopment of chaussée de Mons/Bergensesteenweg: tram 81 suspended

Chaussée de Mons/Bergensesteenweg is being redeveloped. Because of these works, tram 81 is replaced by a T-bus between Marius Renard and Gare du Midi/Zuidstation

Bus 46 and N13 are operated normally.

Nature of the works

Chaussée de Mons/Bergensesteenweg, square Albert Ier/Albert I-square and square Emile Vandervelde/Emile Vanderveldesquare are being redeveloped.

The aim of these works is to transform this main road into a safe, high-quality public space, with green areas, improved pavements and an efficient mobility hub.

Tram 81

Tram 81 is replaced by a T-bus between the Marius Renard and Gare du Midi/Zuidstation stops.

At Gare du Midi/Zuidstation, the T-bus serves the terminus of buses 73 and 78, avenue Paul-Henri Spaak/Paul-Henri Spaaklaan. After Marius Renard, the T-bus continues to Neerpede, where it has its terminus.

All stops are served, except for Bara.

Between Gare du Midi/Zuidstation and Trinité/Drievuldigheid, tram 81 is replaced by temporary bus 96 because of the works on rue Moris/Morisstraat and rue Antoine Bréart/Antoine Bréartstraat.
