Confirm your e-mail address

In order to improve your experience and the security of your data in the STIB-MIVB app, you now need to confirm the e-mail address linked to your account.
Why?

  • To protect your account against unauthorised access
  • To ensure you receive updates, offers and important information
  • To make sure you have access to the digital tickets and MOBIB cards linked to your account

Want to keep access to your account? Remember to confirm your e-mail address as soon as possible.

 

Do you have or want to create an account in our mobile app using your e-mail address? Then this concerns you!

By the end of the year, you will receive an e-mail asking you to confirm your e-mail address. Follow the instructions in the e-mail, so that your account is validated.

This will not affect your account details: your registered MOBIB cards or tickets purchased will remain available as before.

Why validate your account?

Do you wish to secure access to your digital tickets and MOBIB cards? Protect your account against unauthorised access? Validate your account now and stay connected in the app.

To do so, you have two options:

  • You can immediately click on the link in the validation e-mail: you're all set
  • You haven't taken any immediate action and you can no longer find the e-mail
    • In this case, go to the “Settings” tab in the app.
    • Select ‘’Edit my profile‘’ and click on the button to resend the validation e-mail.
    • Go to your mailbox and follow the instructions in the e-mail you received.
    • Go back to the app and log in.

Questions about your account in the app ?

  • Check the e-mail address indicated in your profile. Check your spam or junk mail directory. If you are sure that you haven't received anything, try re-sending a validation e-mail. Either via the “Edit my profile” section in the “Settings” tab of the app, or by logging on to the STIB-MIVB website: an e-mail will be sent to you automatically if your details are correct. 

  • If you run into a problem after clicking on “Activate my account”, re-open the e-mail you received, copy the link from it and paste it into the search bar of your web browser. Try to validate your account again.

  • If you do not have access to the mailbox with which you created your account in the app, you will need to create a new account.

    If you had digital tickets on your account
    Contact our Customer Care team so that your tickets can be transferred to your new account Remember to include the e-mail addresses and Wallet ID of your old and new accounts. We will need this information to transfer your digital tickets. Your Wallet ID is located at the bottom of the Settings screen in the app. It is a unique identifier consisting of 19 digits. This process can take up to 10 working days.

    If you had MOBIB cards linked to your account
    Contact our Customer Care team so that your MOBIB cards can be unlinked from your previous account and linked to your new account. Be sure to include your current e-mail address as well as your surname, first name and date of birth. We will need this information to unlink your MOBIB cards from your previous account. This process can take up to 10 working days.

  • If you do not validate your account, you will no longer be able to log in to the mobile app. This means that you will no longer be able to access your MOBIB cards, your digital tickets, or your favourite lines, stops... 

  • You don't have to do anything! You don't need to confirm your e-mail address if you're logging in with Facebook or Apple, or if you don't have an account in the app.
