New on the network

From 2 March 2026

Published on

From Monday 2 March, 3 bus lines are adjusted. Bus line 61 will be extended to Pléiades/Plejaden, taking over part of current bus line 27. Lines 27 and 33 will no longer run. All stops remain served by other lines, offering a better frequency.

These changes are based on a detailed analysis, to better fit how you travel. Discover the maps and all details below.

What’s changing on lines 27 and 61?

Bus 61 will run beyond Montgomery. Its new route will be Gare du Nord/Noord Station -Pléiades/Plejaden. It will take over part of the current route of bus 27, which now runs between Luxembourg/Luxemburg and Pléiades/Plejaden.

Do you sometimes travel between Pléiades/Plejaden and Montgomery? You’ll benefit from a new direct connection to metro lines 2 and 6 at Botanique/Kruidtuin.

As a result, bus route 27 will stop running. All stops between Montgomery and Luxembourg/Luxemburg will still be served by other lines with higher frequency, so there is always an alternative for your trip.

Curious of your new route? The trip planner will include these March changes from 23 February. Simply select a travel date from 2 March onwards to get the correct information.

Bus line 33 discontinued

Like line 27, bus line 33 is one of the least used lines on the network. Passenger data shows that several other lines already serve the short trip between Dansaert and Louise/Louiza efficiently, with no loss of accessibility.

More improvements are on the way. New spacious trams and electric buses will soon join the network. For you, that means more capacity, more comfort and lower emissions.
