A more pleasant station
As the metro line 1 terminus, Stockel/Stokkel is transformed into a fresher and more modern setting. The station is clearer, more comfortable and more welcoming for all passengers.
More light and harmony
Both station entrances have been refreshed. New flooring, renewed walls and redesigned ceilings create a brighter and more harmonious environment.
Inside the station, lighting, signage, and information panels have also been modernised to improve everyday comfort.
Easier to find your way
New information panels and updated signage help you move around the station more easily.
This makes travelling through Stockel/Stokkel clearer, from the entrance to the platform.
Transport for all
Accessibility has been improved at the Stockel Square entrance.
New tactile pavinghelps blind and visually impaired passengers move around more easily. New passenger information totems complete these improvements.
Tintin back in the spotlight
The famous Tintin dans le métro mural, inspired by Hergé’s universe, has been thoroughly cleaned and highlighted again.
Other details also strengthen the station’s identity, such as a column decorated with the iconic rocket motif. A recognisable Stockel/Stokkel touch.
