Works in avenue de Tervueren/Tervurenlaan: trams 39 and 44 suspended and buses 36 and N06 diverted

After the previous phase of track works in avenue de Tervueren/Tervurenlaan, we're now starting on the final section between Montgomery and Musée du Tram/Trammuseum. The works take place from 3 October 2026 until 26 March 2027. We're taking advantage of these works to simultaneously prepare the Montgomery terminus for more modern, spacious trams. During these works, trams 39 and 44 are replaced by a T-bus.  

After the works, lines 39 and 44 will be more accessible to persons with reduced mobility.

Trams 39 and 44

Trams 39 and 44 are suspended between Montgomery and Musée du Tram/Trammuseum. A T-bus runs between Merode and Madoux via Montgomery and Musée du Tram/Trammuseum. Direction Merode, the T-bus also serves the Trois Couleurs/Drie Kleuren stop.  

To change to metro 1 you can take tram 8 at Musée du Tram/Trammuseum to Roodebeek or tram 39 to Stockel/Stokkel. 

The following stops are served by the T-bus: 

Direction Madoux:

  • Merode: avenue de Tervueren/Tervurenlaan 5, at the bus 61 stop direction Pléiades/Plejaden 
  • Montgomery: square Maréchal Montgomery/Maarschalk Montgomeryplein 183, at the bus 61 stop direction Pléiades/Plejaden 
  • Leopold II: avenue de Tervueren/Tervurenlaan 245, at the bus N06 stop direction Musée du Tram/Trammuseum 
  • Jules César/Julius Caesar: avenue de Tervueren/Tervurenlaan 325, at the bus N06 stop direction Musée du Tram/Trammuseum 
  • Chien Vert/Groene Hond: avenue de Tervueren/Tervurenlaan, before the intersection with rue du Bemel/Bemelstraat, at the bus N06 stop direction Musée du Tram/Trammuseum 
  • Musée du Tram/Trammuseum: avenue de Tervueren/Tervurenlaan, after the intersection with avenue du Parc de Woluwe/Park van Woluwelaan 
  • de Villalobar: avenue de Tervueren/Tervurenlaan, before the intersection with avenue des Fleurs/Bloemenlaan, across from the tram stop 
  • Madoux: avenue de Tervueren/Tervurenlaan 427-431

Bus 36

Bus 36 is diverted during the works. Direction Konkel the Musée du Tram/Trammuseum stop is moved to avenue de Tervueren/Tervurenlaan, after the intersection with avenue du Parc de Woluwe/Park van Woluwelaan.  

Direction Maelbeek/Maalbeek, the Musée du Tram/Trammuseum and Chien Vert/Groene Hond stops are moved. The Musée du Tram/Trammuseum stop is located on avenue de Tervueren/Tervurenlaan during the works, by the bus 36 platform direction Konkel. The Chien Vert/Groene Hond stop is moved to the central lane in avenue de Tervueren/Tervurenlaan, before the intersection with avenue Jules de Trooz/Jules de Troozlaan.  

Noctis bus N06

  • During the works, the itinerary of Noctis bus N06 is extended from Musée du Tram/Trammuseum to Madoux via de Villalobar. Direction Gare Centrale/Centraal Station the bus serves the same stops as the T-bus until Montgomery. These stops are served:  
  • Madoux: avenue de Tervueren/Tervurenlaan 427-431 
  • Trois Couleurs/Drie Kleuren: avenue de Tervueren/Tervurenlaan 452 
  • Madoux: avenue de Tervueren/Tervurenlaan 408, next to the tram stop 
  • de Villalobar: avenue de Tervueren/Tervurenlaan, next to the tram stop 
  • Musée du Tram/Trammuseum: avenue de Tervueren/Tervurenlaan, in the central lane near the bus 36 stop direction Konkel 
  • Chien Vert/Groene Hond: avenue de Tervueren/Tervurenlaan, before the intersection with avenue Jules de Trooz/Jules de Troozlaan, in the central lane 
  • Jules César/Julius Caesar: avenue de Tervueren/Tervurenlaan, before the intersection with avenue Jules-César/Julius Caesarlaan, in the central lane
