CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 6

Children under the age of 6 travel for free. For safety reasons they can't travel alone and must be accompanied by a person aged 12 or more with a valid transport ticket.

Brupass

In order to purchase a ticket Brupass, you can buy them through the app or you'll need a personal MOBIB card or a MOBIB basic card. You do not have a card? Go to a BOOTIK or online to purchase your personal MOBIB card for only € 6.00.

You can also purchase the anonymous MOBIB Basic card.  It is sold in our KIOSK and BOOTIK or via our red GO vending machines for only € 6.00.

Brupass 1 journey

The school group ticket is valid for a group of 30 travellers maximum, including 2 accompanying adults.

How to use the STIB-MIVB Group aged -18 1 Day

The system is easier than its name: 1 traveller = 1 validation.

Please validate at each connection when you board a bus or a tram. In the (pre)metro stations, you open the gates by validating: this is why the MOBIB card holder should be the last traveller to pass the gates!

Paper tickets

You're in a rush and you need to take the bus or tram? No problem! You can also purchase paper tickets for 1 journey or even 1 day.

you need a Airport2City ticket in order to take bus 12 and travel from the airport to Brussels? However, if you wish to travel the other way around, towards Brussels Airport from the city centre, you do not need a specific ticket: any STIB-MIVB ticket will do.

Summary of the transport rules

At all times and without any compensation, the user shall comply with any (price or other) amendment of his current transport ticket, as well as any change of STIB-MIVB's offer or more generally the access and use conditions of the public transportation services, following a decision taken by the competent authority or organ within the respect of the applying rules. The user must validate his transport ticket before any journey. At the above-ground stops, the transport ticket must be validated at each boarding or connection in a bus or tram. In the underground metro and premetro stations, the user must validate his transport ticket at the control zones. The user must present his transport ticket upon request of a member of STIB-MIVB's control staff acting in the course of his duties. If the user has a nominative MOBIB card, he must prove his identity upon request of a member of STIB-MIVB's control staff acting in the course of his duties.
