Merging the tram stops Masui and Jules De Trooz to improve accessibility and safety

The existing tram stops Masui and Jules De Trooz on avenue de la Reine/Koninginnelaan will be merged to create a single stop that will be more accessible, comfortable and safe. Coming from the city centre, the stop will be located just after the junction with rue du Pont de l’Avenue/Laanbrugstraat (see map in the ‘Download’ section).

The new layout will allow passengers to access the tram directly from the platform, without having to cross a traffic lane. This will improve passenger safety and ensure smoother traffic flow.

The new stop will also be designed to be fully accessible to people with reduced mobility. The ramps and seamless connection between the platform and the tram will guarantee a secure and easy access, which will also make it easier for pedestrians with pushchairs or luggage to get around.

This project addresses the need for improved safety and accessibility to public transport in the area.

Garages within the construction zone will also be inaccessible, and a parking ban will be in effect.
