Open air concerts at place des Palais/Paleizenplein
On Thursday 14 and Friday 15 August 2025
After top-notch performances by Neil Young and Jean-Michel Jarre, it's now up to Kraftwerk and Solomun to impress you at place des Palais/Paleizenplein. Want to see the German pioneers of electronic music at work and bust out your best moves to amazing house music the next day? We sure do!
How to get there
Feel like enjoying some amazing beats, a refreshing drink in hand and with the beautiful Royal Palace in the background? Buy your entry tickets and STIB-MIVB will take care of the rest.
These stops are located close to place des Palais/Paleizenplein:
- Trône/Troon (400 m): metro 2 and 6, bus 12, 34, 38, 54, 64, 80, 95
- Parc/Park (500 m): metro 1 and 5, bus 29, 63, 65, 66, and T-bus 92
No more queuing at the vending machine: simply scan your contactless bank card on the bus, tram, or at the gates of metro stations and off you go. A journey with contactless payment will cost you only €2.30: that’s 50 cents less than a paper ticket. More info about contactless payment here.
Did you notice an Event Pass code on your Solomun x Hangar ticket? This means your return journey with STIB-MIVB is included! Scan the code at a GO vending machine up to three days before the festival to receive your transport ticket. On the day of the concert, all you have to do is validate your ticket and... enjoy!
Interruptions on 14 and 15 August
To make sure the artists have all the space they need, no traffic is allowed on the square. Buses 38, 71 and 95 usually pass by place des Palais/Paleizenplein, but are diverted for the performances.
On 14 August from 5.00 pm and on 15 August from 2.00 pm:
- bus 38 is limited to Trône/Troon. Stop Trône/Troon direction Héros/Helden is moved to rue du Duc/Hertogstraat, at the stop direction Gare Centrale/Centraal Station.
- bus 71 is limited to Porte de Namur/Naamsepoort. Stop Porte de Namur/Naamsepoort direction Delta is moved to Chaussée d'Ixelles/Elsense Steenweg 4-6, at the stop direction De Brouckère.
- bus 95 is diverted between Trône/Troon and Grand Sablon/Grote Zavel via Rue de la Régence/Regentschapsstraat. Stops Poelaert and Petit Sablon/Kleine Zavel are served at numbers 58 and 30.
Diversion bus 71 from 11 to 17 August
For stage set-up and dismantling, bus 71 is diverted between Gare Centrale/Centraal Station and Trône/Troon from 11 August to 17 August (included). Stops Bozar and Royale/Koning are not served.
