Works

The sewers and tram tracks on rue Édouard Stuckens/Edward Stuckensstraat and rue Henri Van Hamme/Hendrik Van Hammestraat must be fully replaced. These works require the suspension of tram line 55 for just over two years.

Tram 55

From 17 to 20 May 2025

Trams 55 only runs between Rogier and Verboekhoven to set up a temporary terminus at Tilleul/Linde.

There are no replacement buses.

Alternatives for the stops between Verboekhoven and Da Vinci:

• Waelhem: on foot from Verboekhoven, or from Hôpital Paul Brien/Paul Brien-ziekenhuis (tram 7/De Lijn bus)
• Foyer Schaerbeekois/Schaarbeekse Haard: on foot from Verboekhoven, or from Hôpital Paul Brien/Paul Brien-ziekenhuis (tram 7/De Lijn bus)
• Helmet: bus 59 (temporary stop Helmet, square François Riga/François Rigasquare)

From 21 May 2025

Tram 55 only runs between the stops Rogier and Tilleul/Linde.

The usual Tilleul/Linde stops are served normally.

Bus 59 is rerouted to allow you to travel without changing vehicles between Bordet Station, Paix/Vrede, Helmet and Verboekhoven.

Bus 69 is extended so you can travel directly between Da Vinci and Verboekhoven.

• Van Cutsem: on foot from Bordet Station or Fonson

Bus 59

To make sure you can travel between Bordet Station, Paix/Vrede, Helmet and Verboekhoven without transfer, bus 59 is diverted:

• Between Anatole France and Huart-Hmoiar, via square François Riga/François Rigasquare, to serve a temporary Helmet stop
• Between Saint-Vincent/Sint-Vincentius and Bordet Station, via Paix/Vrede and chaussée de Haecht/Haachtsesteenweg. The usual route between Saint-Vincent/Sint-Vincentius and Bordet Station via Vandenhoven remains served by bus lines 64 and 69.

The stop Vandenhoven remains served by bus 65 direction Gare Centrale/Centraal Station and bus 80 direction Porte de Namur/Naamsepoort.
