Interactive map
In the “Itinerary” tab, you will find a map that includes Villo!, Cambio and Collecto in addition to the next departures of the SNCB-NMBS, TEC and De Lijn. The cherry on top? With the filters, you can customise your display even more! Departures at a specific time or station, highlighting of certain stops, display of the entrances and exits of STIB-MIVB stations... All your connections in one place!
Real time
You can access STIB-MIVB real time either via “Lines” or via “Stops”. You can save your stop or journey as a favourite by clicking on the heart in the top right-hand corner after your first search. Your favourites are then directly displayed on your next search.
The real-time location of the vehicles is displayed on the left part of your screen as red bullets. By swiping to the right, you can see the other lines and vehicles nearby.
Real-time data from other operators can be found on the interactive map.
Journey planner
The “Itinerary” tab allows you to easily plan a journey from point A to Point B, at the date and time of your choice. You can activate or deactivate the proposed modes of transport (metro, tram, bus, train) and operators (STIB-MIVB, De Lijn, TEC, SNCB-NMBS) in the options. You can also configure your preferences: fastest itinerary, with the fewest connections or with the shortest walking distance.
Accessibility
Do you need ground-level access or access with lifts for your station journeys? Check accessibility in real time, by line and by direction via "Lines" or "Stops".
Getting on or off at a bus or tram stop? Wheelchair access is indicated at each bus stop. For trams, this is still only the case on lines 7 and 9.
Widgets
The “My Addresses” widget allows you to directly plan a journey from or to one of your saved addresses. Quite handy when you are on your way to a new destination!
The “My lines” widget allows you to directly see the planned diversions on your line or to easily consult the location of vehicles.
Finally, “My Stops” allows you to see the next departures in an instant. A great way to save precious time when your bus arrives in 4 minutes...
Purchase via the app
Do you have a MOBIB card? Creating a user account in the mobile app gives you access to the deferred purchase module in the “MOBIB” tab. This way, you can plan your next journeys without having to leave your home.
Read your MOBIB
If you use the STIB-MIVB mobile app on iOS, you can now scan your MOBIB card with your smartphone. No more wondering if you have enough journeys left before you board or if you have to renew your season ticket. With “Read your MOBIB”, you can check the balance of your STIB-MIVB, De Lijn, TEC or SNCB-NMBS card in a matter of seconds.

Frequently asked questions
How do I search an itinerary?
Go to "Itinerary" and click on the search field. A new screen will be displayed, allowing you to enter your destination (address, stop or point of interest). You can also define the departure and arrival times or choose the last departure using the calendar button at the bottom left of the destination field.
Launch the search; several custom-made routes will appear on the screen. The "Options" menu will allow you to choose which type of itinerary you wish to see first (fastest, with the shortest walking distance or with the fewest number of connections).
You can choose the transportation means that suit you best (metro, tram, bus or train) at any time by tapping the "Options" menu (below the destination field). The other public transportation operators in Brussels have also been integrated in the STIB-MIVB app.
How do I follow my itinerary?
After having searched and chosen your route, tap the "Start the itinerary" button under the route detail.
The app will guide you through the different stages of your journey and warn you when you need to alight.
How can I plan a trip several hours or days in advance?
This feature is only available for users with an account
Tap the calendar on the search results screen, and choose the departure and arrival dates and times. With the STIB-MIVB app, you can plan your journey from 30 minutes to 10 days in advance and receive notifications related to your trip.
In order to receive a pre-departure notification, tap the bell icon at the top right of your Itinerary detail screen. A new screen will be displayed, where you can choose how long before your departure you wish to receive the notification and activate it using the button at the top right of this new screen.
How can I find information about a line?
Go to the "Network" section and choose the line you are interested in, either by searching your line number using the search field, or by browsing the list of lines displayed on the screen.
Once you have accessed the details of the line, the "thermometer" will show you the real-time position of the vehicles on the line and the waiting time at nearby stops, as well as at favourite stops. When swiping to the right, you will also see the parallel lines and the position of the vehicles.
How can I save a stop as a favourite?
You should first find the line from which you want to add a stop as a favourite. In order to do so, go to the "Network" section. You can search a line using its number or browse the list appearing on the screen.
Once on the line detail screen, select the stop you wish to add as a favourite. The stop detail screen will be displayed, where you can tap the small heart icon at the top right of your screen.
How can I save a line as a favourite?
You should first find the line you wish to add as a favourite. In order to do so, go to the "Network" section. You can search your line using its number or browse the list appearing on the screen.
Once you have selected the right direction and accessed the detail of the line that you want to add as a favourite, tap the small heart icon at the top right of your screen.
Why should I create an account in the app?
Creating an account is not mandatory. Having one will, however, allow you to access other features, such as the MOBIB section, the saving of addresses as favourites for the itinerary search or the back-up of your favourites in case you replace your smartphone.
Can I use the "MyBOOTIK" account I created on the website stib.be to connect to the mobile app?
Yes, you can connect to the mobile app using the same email address and password as on our website stib.be. All information already available on your MyBOOTIK account will then be readily available in the app.
How do I manage my MOBIB card(s)?
Go to the "My MOBIB" section and add a personal or Basic MOBIB card.
This will allow you to look up your personal data linked to your card, edit them and also receive a notification when your season ticket is about to expire.
You can also buy your tickets directly from the app.
I am trying to add my MOBIB card to my account, but I am getting an error message saying that my card is already linked to an account. What should I do?
You card has probably already been linked to an account on our website. There are two possibilities:
- You can log into your STIB-MIVB app using your existing web account (MyBOOTIK/stib.be).
- You can remove the MOBIB card you wish to add to your mobile app account from your MyBOOTIK account. In order to do so, go to stib.be, log in with the account your card is linked to and remove the card from the account.
In case you do not remember the account your MOBIB card is linked to, you can request the connection to be undone on our website stib.be. In order to do so, go to stib.be, log in with you mobile app account and try adding your MOBIB card to this account. The website will offer you to send a notification to the account your card is linked to, in order to undo the connection. Once this is done, you can add your MOBIB card on the mobile app.
How can I manage my personal settings and my app settings?
You can manage your personal settings at any time. You should go to the "Settings" section, where you can edit your password and your account language, as well as activate the relevant settings.
How can I choose the launch screen of my app?
Go to the "Settings" section and select the "Launch screen" menu. You can choose between the options "Itinerary", "Network" and "Stops" and select one of them as your launch screen.
How can I change the language of my app?
Go to the "Settings" section and enter the "Language" menu, where you can choose the app language (available options are "English", "French" and "Dutch") and the stop names language (available options are "French" and "Dutch").
