Scan your MOBIB with the STIB-MIVB app
Is your smartphone equipped with NFC? Recently, the mobile app has been fitted with a scan feature for your MOBIB. No more wondering if you have enough journeys left before you board or if you have to renew your season ticket. The new “Read your MOBIB” feature has you covered. This way, you can check the balance of your STIB-MIVB, De Lijn, TEC or SNCB-NMBS card in a matter of seconds.
To read your MOBIB card, you must first have added it to your account. You don’t need to enter the card number as it appears automatically when scanning your card for the first time:
- If you have a MOBIB basic card, it will be automatically added.
- If your card is a personal MOBIB, you will need to enter your contact details.
The card then remains registered in your account. The NFC reader allows you to see not only STIB-MIVB tickets and season tickets, but also those of other operators (SNCB-NMBS, TEC and De Lijn). Please note that a (basic or personal) card can be linked to one account only.
You don’t have our STIB-MIVB app yet? Download it here.
